Baldja are delighted to announce the award of the Albany North Generator Renewal Project for Water Corporation in Western Australia.
Baldja’s scope is end-to-end comprising the electrical design, engineering, procurement, factory inspections and testing, construction, commissioning and operational testing of all plant and equipment for the generator and associated infrastructure.
Baldja Director Michael O’Connell said “This is a complex scope with full EPC responsibility, and will showcase Baldja’s capabilities across the design, engineering, civil, electrical, and commissioning scopes. We are delighted to be involved with the project and to continue to cement our relationship with Water Corporation as a tier one EPC provider. Most importantly, through this project we have been afforded the opportunity to create an aboriginal apprenticeship position and would like to welcome Adam Woods to the Baldja team.”
Baldja is committing to set aside 10 per cent of its margin arising from this project and this amount will be used to support local Indigenous training and upskilling programs within the community and supporting the already existing Indigenous employment commitments it has made.
The project is scheduled to be completed in late 2024.
