The Role: As part of our growing team, you will play a key supporting role in ensuring fixed assets owned, leased, or rented by the company are maintained to a high standard. To manage assets, you will maintain an accurate inventory, working closely with our Operations and Procurement teams to ensure assets are logged accurately.
Key Performance Areas:
- Regularly review the Asset Register for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of purchased assets in the Asset Register.
- Manage the national distribution of assets, including tracking, delivery, and acknowledgment of asset transfers.
- Coordinate and verify asset purchase orders with the Procurement team.
- Log, store, and track returned assets.
- Work closely with the designated supervisor to conduct asset verification and audits.
- Meticulously file all asset management-related documents.
- Track and manage asset usage.
- Monitor and provide timely alerts about office rental leases or renewals.
- Ensure company vehicles are properly registered, as applicable.
- Manage and track fleet management financial resources and budgets.
- Report on fleet management expenses monthly and track budget vs actual to minimise overspending.
- Conduct site visits to field offices to audit and verify the Asset Register.
Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Practical experience in asset management and associated administrative processes is desirable.
- Intermediate IT literacy (MS Office and ITS), with strong Excel skills preferred.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Desired Qualities & Skills:
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, spreadsheets, email, web, and enterprise systems.
- Excellent MS Excel and MS Outlook proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Open to new challenges and eager to learn on the job.
- Confident working with a diverse range of individuals and teams, able to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Proactive and hands-on, willing to tackle complex tasks or projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills — able to identify issues, think critically, and find solutions.
- Some experience with vehicles, heavy machinery, or testing equipment is a plus, but not required. We’re happy to train the right candidate.
