About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Superintendent to oversee the construction and installation of substations for a major energy transition project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the transformation of the energy sector, ensuring the successful delivery of renewable and sustainable power solutions.
This is a FIFO position from Australian capital cities to Pilbara, WA on a 2:1 roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with project goals, safety, on time and on budget.
- Oversee development and implementation of the Project Safety Plan.
- Lead and participate in audits, site inspections and crew interactions.
- Monitor competency and training requirements of Project crew.
- Provide ongoing feedback, support, counsel, conduct regular reviews and encourage feedback from staff.
- Maintain project schedule by reporting project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems.
- Identify change controls and project risks.
- Ensure fully maintained and calibrated tools, equipment and plant remain fit for task, project materials are receipted and available in accordance with project schedule.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- Electrical trade certificate, Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years+ Supervisor or Superintendent experience in Electrical Construction.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret project delivery in accordance with project schedule (P6), providing lookaheads and forecasts including identified risks.
- Experience with reporting project controls, reading construction schedule, identifying issues & monitoring performance.
- MS Word, Outlook, Excel, P6 & preferably PROCORE skills.
- Full Driver’s License
