The position:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor for a minimum 12 months’ work in the Pilbara region, WA. You will be working on a Greenfield site on an active mining lease and will be instrumental in the construction delivery of two 220kv/33kv outdoor Substations. Previous experience in the construction of Substations is essential to the role.
The details:
- 2:1 roster, 12-hours per day
- Expected crew size: 10, day shift
- Flights/Camp Accommodation
- ASAP start, long term project
The Duties:
- Driving a positive safety culture through ensuring safe work practices, conducting pre-starts and toolboxes
- Supervision of Subcontractors, ensuring safety and compliance
- Supervising, monitoring, and evaluating personnel to ensure that all work is on schedule, to required quality and client specifications.
- Ensuring all work fronts are reported on and kept up to date and all changes are accounted for in a timely manner.
- Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where appropriate
- Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
- Ensure the company is represented in a professional manner when dealing with customers
- Liaising with internal Project Teams, as well as external stakeholders, to achieve the Project performance goals
The Person:
- Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence
- Construction Industry White Card
- Section 26 (appointed person) or willingness to obtain
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent knowledge of Australian industry regulations, applicable codes, best practice and performance standards.
- Strong people management skills
- Proven project experience
- Fortescue inducted highly desirable
