The Opportunity
We’re looking for a seasoned HV Commissioning Lead to join our dedicated team, working on mining projects across Western Australia. This role operates on a 2/1 FIFO roster and offers permanent opportunities.
 
 
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a team of skilled HV Supervisors, Technicians, and Protection Engineers, overseeing critical commissioning activities, including:
 

• Substation commissioning, including Site Acceptance Testing
• GIS switchgear commissioning
• VLF, Tan Delta, and partial discharge testing of HV cables
• Commissioning transmission (220kV) and distribution (11, 22, 33kV) lines
• HV motor and drive commissioning
• Primary equipment testing (circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, transformers, HV/LV switchboards, busbars)
• Relay and secondary injection testing across various relay manufacturers/models

 
About You
We’re seeking professionals who bring expertise and leadership to the table. To excel in this role, you’ll need:
 

• WA A-Grade Electrical License or Electrical Engineering Degree
• High Voltage Switching Certificate
• Current CPR/LVR and First Aid Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License (Minimum C Class)
• Demonstrated experience leading HV commissioning teams
