Position Overview:
Are you an experienced legal practitioner with an influential background in construction and commercial law, looking for a part-time role? If so,  you may be the person we need to support our commercial & legal function in our dynamic and rapidly growing company.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide commercially astute legal advice on all aspects of construction law, from tender / pre-contract phases through to closeout.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts, including departure schedules for tender submissions.
• Support project teams by imbedding contract requirements and advising on commercial and contractual issues.
• Assisting the other functions including HR, Finance, HSEQ with ad-hoc advice, process improvement initiatives.
• Providing support to operations on various matters, including payment claims, change management.
• Draft comprehensive fully evidenced claim documents, liaising with external counsel.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution.
• Assist in managing our Legal Compliance Framework, policy development, audits, training.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience – private practice or in-house.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, change management disciplines.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
