Project opportunity

Work on Australia’s biggest public transport project! The packages of work comprise the construction of six new stations, installation of tracks, signalling systems, mechanical and electrical works, construction of stabling and maintenance facilities, driverless trains, and the handover of operations and maintenance. This opportunity will see you working on metro rail stations and/or line wired works packages.
 
Your role
 
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll work on a major transport rail projects in Sydney where you will be embedded into the project teams working on metro rail stations and/or line wired works packages.  
 
In this role, you’ll be managing the design phase, addressing design issues and providing innovative solutions to complex issues, resolving design documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You’ll be working on low voltage distribution, switchboards, stations, light and power systems, communications, essential distribution systems, and interfacing with multiple teams to ensure the successful completion of projects. Other responsibilities include:

• Develop, review, and update design documentation to reflect accurate and up-to-date information.
• Develop shop drawing level documentation to reflect accurate and up-to-date information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction teams, to ensure project success.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure design integrity and compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

About you

An experienced Building Services Electrical Engineer or come from a similar environment, with experience working on infrastructure projects such as rail, roads, highways or commercial projects, with experience in all or across most; electrical systems, including main boards, switchboards, lighting, and power, electrical distribution systems, communications, and security systems.

You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with multiple teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably hold or working towards chartered status.
• Proficiency in design software such as, Revit, AutoCAD, or PowerCAD .
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to rail and transport projects.
• Experience or sound knowledge of AS3000.
• Both design and delivery experience will be highly advantageous
