RSGx are excited to announce we have been awarded the ORF Commissioning Scope of Works package on the Port Kembla Energy Terminal project including the management of site as Principal Contractor.
Squadron Energy is building an LNG import terminal on the east coast of New South Wales. The project scope involves the long-term lease of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit, construction of a berth and wharf facilities at Port Kembla Inner Harbour, and construction of a new pipeline which will be tied into the existing Eastern Gas Pipeline (EGP) at Kembla Grange. When completed, the facility will have the capacity to supply 500TJ a day– enough to meet nearly all of NSW’s gas needs on a peak day. The new terminal will support domestic gas supply as NSW transitions to renewable energy.
The contract includes the development of management plans, procedures and provision of all project management, supervision, supply of materials, labour, plant and equipment to complete the works.
RSGx are responsible for the completions, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the Onshore Receiving facility (ORF) which comprises of the following:
- Marine Loading Arms.
- HP gas manifold reducers.
- Odorant Injection Package.
- Utilities connections (potable water and fire water connections).
- Mechanical and instrument valves.
- Pressure safety systems.
- Electrical, hydraulic, mechanical piping, instrumentation and communication interfaces with FSRU.
- E&I cables (power supply to ORF via 11KV from the local power grid with voltage stepdown).
- Fibre optic instrument and communication cables.
- Instrumentation systems.
- Security CCTV systems.
- Fire and gas system.
- Earthing system.
- General lighting.
- E&I buildings.
